Riley & Jacobson, PLC is dedicated to solving the difficult and complex problems that our clients face.  While we limit our practice to litigation, we define "litigation" broadly to encompass dispute resolution in all forums, whether state or federal courts, appellate courts, mediation, or arbitration.  Equally as important, we attempt to resolve our clients' problems before they reach these formal processes.

Regardless of the circumstances, our commitment is to design and execute an appropriate strategy to accomplish our clients' goals in the most cost-effective way.  The firm endeavors to staff matters so that each lawyer working on a case provides a meaningful contribution while providing our clients with a more economical solution than might be obtained otherwise.  The firm's focus on dispute resolution and litigation provides an important skill set for the exercise of sound judgment in negotiating a resolution before formal processes are employed.  Of course, if litigation ensues, we have the resources, depth, and expertise to resolve our clients' litigation problems efficiently.

Riley & Jacobson, PLC's founding members left one of Tennessee's largest law firms to concentrate on litigation of complex commercial problems.  Over the past twenty years, the firm has grown in size and expertise, and many of the firm's attorneys previously worked as litigators in larger firms, but have chosen to focus their expertise with us.  Our peers have recognized our attorneys as exceptional.  From the beginning, our focus has been on providing quality representation to each client, regardless of the size or nature of the case.  While the number of attorneys in our firm remains relatively small, the focus on quality representation and the sophistication of our work has remained constant and matches the largest firms.  Indeed, the firm often works with or against some of the largest firms in the world on complex commercial disputes.
